My name is Shane Clevenger, and I live in Herriman, Utah with my beautiful wife Tami, our 4 boys, and our dog Paco.
I discovered Salesforce in the winter of 2016. I was managing a hotel in Sandy, Utah and I frequently had consultants with Salesforce stay with us. At the time I had been managing hotels or hospitality of some sort for the last 22 years, and I really felt a pull to do something in the tech industry.
I had a conversation with one of the Salesforce consultants, and at the time I had no idea what Salesforce was. I shared with him my career aspirations, and he shared with me Salesforce. He introduced me to Trailhead, which is Salesforce’s very own online university. I went home that night and logged into Trailhead, and started to learn Salesforce for free, and on my own schedule.
Since then, I have obtained three Salesforce certifications (Admin, Platinum App Builder, and Sales Cloud Consultant). I have also been in the trenches (so to speak), working as a Salesforce Consultant for a Platinum Salesforce Consulting firm.
I spend my free time cooking, binge watching crime shows, playing drums, and reading (Theology, Business and Self help).
I love the Salesforce Ohana (Family), and have met so many amazing people who have mentored and inspired me.
I hope that we can meet soon as well.
